Animation Project

Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire Stop-Motion Animation

Create a stop-motion animation of a conflict that takes place during the rise and fall of Rome.  Choose from one of the topics provided or if you have your own idea, get it approved before you begin.  Research your topic from several sources, look at several maps, RESEARCH AND UNDERSTAND YOUR TOPIC!
  • Punic Wars (overall of all three wars or just one)
    • specific battles like Cannae or Zama)
  • Civil Wars (Marius & Sulla, Caesar & Pompey)
    • specific battles like Dyrrhachium or Pharsalus
  • Caesar's invasion of Gaul in the Gallic Wars
  • Expansion of Rome's empire during its imperial phase
  • "Barbarian"/Germanic Invasions

Basically, you're going to create a slide in Google Slide. Then duplicate it and move something. Then duplicate that new slide and move something. Over and over and over again.

When you're done, you'll flip through the slides quickly and it'll look like your creation is in motion!
