THE GREAT WAR

Tensions build after one-hundred years of peace between the major power that need only a spark to set off a major war.  However, a lot has changed in one-hundred years as industry and mechanized weapons change the nature of warfare resulting in one of the worst war experiences Europe has ever seen.

THE RUSSIAN REVOLUTION AND A VICTOR'S PEACE

Troubles in Russia are accelerated with the arrival of Vladimir Lenin and the rise of the Bolsheviks that lead to the overthrow of the Russian monarchy and establishment of the first communist state.  Meanwhile, the Great War that has ravaged Europe comes to a close with the Germans left feeling betrayed rather than defeated.
